Mars

March March . Was that the month it all began ? I hardly noticed - trouble with the drains A tile was lost - the ceiling leaking in the rain But earth was ploughed and also seeds were sown Between the Tiber and the town . On fields of Mars , the vegetables sprout , the citizens are gathered for the count The soldiers drilling up and down Are ready for the year’s campaign In brand new boots with iron spears They’re stamping on the cabbage bed Between the sheets - a horses head A laurel wreath . Around the ears In April , missiles raining down In Summer , springs a fiery crown                                                                                                     Anita Greg 14/04/2018

  CIRCE

Called Circe for my yellow eyes - a hawk and creature - never human - raised in halls obsidian in shiny dark - behind the sun . The halls of Helios we run - my mother was an Oceanid - and we are of    the Titan race . We Elder folk of seas and skies - Before the gods - Before the flood and humans who they made from mud and beasts of all kinds . We are blood of primal type  - before the fall . One day our folk will rule as once we did from Infra dark     to Outer Space . What is this trick , this power Divine of turning sailors into swine ? And was it Circe's purple wine ? As if the power to Change was mine ! My spectrum shines on what lies hid , My rays just lighting Up the face Anita Greg 19/04/2018

She loved the place and tested the water with her foot. Pleased with this too she said ‘Any witness is far away, let’s bathe our bodies naked in the flowing water.’ The Arcadian  girl blushed: all of them took off their clothes: one of them tried to delay: hesitantly the tunic was removed and there her shame was revealed with her naked body. Terrified she tried to conceal her swollen belly. Diana cried ‘Go, far away from here: do not pollute the sacred fountain!’ and the Moo
